NORTH CATHOLIC YEARBOOKS PROJECT SOON A REALITY

COMING SOON: NC YEARBOOKS, COURTESY OF THE NORPHANS!

Craving a copy of your lost North Catholic yearbooks? You will soon be able to access the digital versions of all NC yearbooks on our Norphans website-at no charge to you!

In a move towards camaraderie with the NC Alumni Association, the Norphans proposed this as a Joint Venture with the Alumni Association. Norphans Board member Mike Ritchie had experience with digitalizing yearbooks for another organization, and initially presented that process to the Norphans. Mike likewise identified the appropriate vendor, and its associated costs. The next step was to secure the actual yearbooks.

In an October 2021 meeting with representatives of the Alumni Association, Norphans Board members Jason Marquess, Mike McBride, Tom Crossett, and Mike Ritchie (Jerry Brindisi was unable to attend) presented a proposal to the Alumni to conduct this venture, with the cost shared equally by the Norphans and the NC Alumni Association. Alumni Association members attending were Bob Kensil, Tom Morgan, John Hanejko, Steve Cardullo, as well as Rev. James Dalton, OSFS, former Principal at North Catholic.

In January 2022, the Alumni advised the Norphans that the project was approved by the Alumni Board.

The yearbooks will shortly be delivered to the vendor for disassembly and digital conversion. Once completed, all will have FREE access to the yearbooks through either the Norphans or the Alumni website.

The Norphans Board thanks the Alumni Association for its work in this showing of Salesian solidarity between the two groups!
