North Grad, Corporal James O'Connor IV Dies In Line of Duty

With great sadness, Cpl. James O'Connor IV was murdered early Saturday morning trying to serve a warrant. Cpl. O'Connor was a '92 graduate of North.  He played on the soccer team and was part of that program that won the PCL championship in 1990.  Jim was from a family of police officers and will be sorely missed. Our prayers go out to his family.

North Soccer Postpones Hall of Fame Celebration

North Soccer announced yesterday that it will tentatively postpone its 13th Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Celebration originally scheduled for March 29th. We continue to monitor all COVID-19 developments.  First and foremost, we are concerned about public safety.

We have no immediate date in mind given the fluidity of the virus and its impact on our society.  We believe or should I say hope that our party will take place after the summer.

Be safe please and continue to check in with us.

Tuesday, March 3, 2020

On March 29th, North Soccer Alumni along with previously named Hall of Famers and friends will honor our 13th Class of Hall of Fame booters!  After careful consideration, our Group selected the following Falcons to be honored.  These gentlemen are:

Mr.  Joseph Casey  (Dec'd)                       Class of 1964
Mr.  Timothy Weglicki (Dec'd)                   Class of 1978

Mr. Ed Szemblak                                       Class of 2004

So it's that time of year again to put on those Red Jackets and come see friends and former teammates. This year's celebration will be held again at the newly renovated Felt Factory at Romanos https.// on Sunday, March 29 from 2 PM until 6 PM.

NORTH SOCCER - Save the Date - March 29, 2020 Hall of Fame Banquet

As the penultimate North organization, North Soccer announces its 13th Hall of Fame Party.  Our date, as all dates have been, is the last Sunday in March or 03/29/2020.  Our catering partner will be once again Romano Caterer's located at 1523 E Wingohocking Street, Philadelphia PA 19124.

We hope that all our Hall of Famers, former players and coaches, and friends of North and North Soccer come to this celebration.  Full dinner, open bar, and SWAG will be available.  The cost is still an inflation-fighting $80 per person. Come reminisce and be part of the lore that is North Catholic, especially North Soccer.

For ticket information, please contact:

The Norphan's organization wants to say "thank you" to everyone, individuals, businesses and other friends of North who have helped us raise funds to help our children attend and stay in Catholic high schools.  Your generosity allows us to hold steady on providing over seventy boys/girls with help in their educational dreams and needs. We should be announcing those selected very, very soon.
